Preserve Our Heritage Patch
« on: March 24, 2008, 09:02:04 PM »
Has every one heard of the Preserve Our Hertiage patch that Lockwood Internet Base has developed for all museum boats to sell to raise money for their boat and to help with the current project? You can also get a rocker to go above the patch with your museum boats name.

We should all get blue vests and put the patch on it, like Wal-Mart.  Then you can post a greeter at the door to say, "Welcome to the Batfish.  I love you."  (If you don't understand the reference, watch Idiocracy).

I've done all I know to do to make people aware of the patches.  There is a paragraph at the bottom of the main page to the website about them, and a link at the top of every page "SoS" to go to the SaveOurSubmarines website.

In addition to the patch, we also have available through Gil Raynor individual rockers to go above the patch.  These can be sold as a unit to those who viisit the boat and as has been mentioned, it does look nice for those working on the boat to have the patch and rocker that matches the boat. Gil can be reached at g.raynor@raynorassoc.com for bulk prices on the rockers.  Ron Martini at  rontini@bresnan.net  has bulk prices on the rockers. We have several museum boats now that are selling both patches and rockers to raise money for the boat.

For all of the Batfish Guys.  I have purchased 24 of the restoration patches for the museum here.  I am going to try them out and see what happens.  I am also working with the guys at thSOS on the Batfish Rockers.  I will keep you all posted.

Cool!  If you end up getting rockers down the road, make sure to let us know how to buy one.

I still want to get one of the Cavalla but don't know how.
