One thing that stood out during my initial readings of COD's Cold War deck logs last week in the National Archives is that during her recommissioning in 1951 until final decom in '54, she was rubbing fenders with many of the current memorial subs now on display around the nation! Among them: USS BOWFIN, USS LIONFISH, USS TORSK, USS REQUIN, USS CLAMAGORE, and yes, those HitSkip crooks, USS COBIA!
Also was nested with other boats that sadly met their fate at the cutter's blowtorch...
