Ran across thie below the other day while doing submarine cookbook research. E-mailed it to O'Dwyer, USS Carbonero submariner group. He says it's too heavy to take back and forth to Carbonero reunions, that he believes it was offered on ebay about a month ago. Found the info on below web site. (spelling errors not mine)

It was launched in 1944, decommissioned in 1970, and sunk in 1975. I think this was original to 1944, btu i don’t know for sure- it could have been from a later re-fitting.It is 12 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 10, and really heavy! I also don’t know if it would owrk or not. It was identified by the last owner on the side- from an estate collection. If you have any questions, pelase ask. Note for the very few you know who you are.
