Ship plans and a different way to get them
« on: April 06, 2009, 05:28:39 PM »
While searching online a little bit ago for some plans for an AO (Auxillary Oiler) for my uncle I remembered a website that has plans for all kinds of ships to include NAVSHIP plans for just about EVERY class built in the last 80 or so years. While these plans are NOT free (around $12 or so dollars) these maybe the only way to get a set of plans for your boat other then driving to the Navy Yard in Washington, DC and seeing if they have them still in archives somewhere. Here's the link:  www.floatingdrydock.com
Hope this helps some of you..... HINT HINT WINK WINK  DRUM, BATFISH ;)

Pretty cool - I checked on photos for the poor old Picuda and alas all they had were two from the late 50's.  I'm sure the same ones I already have. Sniff  :'(

Not sure what I do with the hull plans - but the CD version was not bad.  Thanks Darrin. :)
