The USS STERLET SS392 Association has embarked on a project to honor all submarine veteran's of WWII diesel boats at the Veteran's Museum in Branson, Mo. When visiting the Museum during our reunion planners conference (we are having our reunion there Oct 7-11 09) I noticed nothing not even dolphins honoring submariners there or even a picture of a submarine. I talked to the director of the museum and showed her my Disney patches for the Sterlet as well as all of my other boats and asked if we made a display would she put it in the museum. She has agreed and I am now working on the case, layout, ideas, and more importantly soliciting patches as a donation to the project. (The Sterlet is funding all the costs of the display, and shipping to the museum)
I know you have a relationship with all of the museum boats and I would like to have a section of the display dedicated to those submarines. Can you solicit each of them to send me at no charge a patch of their boat and if none available ask crew members if they have an extra one. This section along with my lost boats section will be significant to the display.
Let me know if you can assist me with the Museum boat patches.
