Darrin - SOB is for everyone (that's school of the boat).  We each learn from everyone - a teacher not willing to learn is not a teacher.

Thanks JT, didn't want to step on your toes on this one because I know a number of instructors who would have had hurt feelings with me jumping in their class and teaching when it wasn't required nor desired. BTW I HAVE the TM3 and TM2's in my truck along with the TM1 and Chief waiting to be read once more and these are dated 60 something or other ;)   gonna DROOL this weekend and see how much my Nav was different from your Nav....

This brings up another question. When did the Department of the Navy switch from the old phonetic alphabet to the new one (Able, Baker Charlie, to Alpha, Bravo, Charlie)? Does anyone know?
